History through Art, Friendly Fitness and Honoring Volunteers| “The Splash LIVE” – February 14, 2024

Celebrating love and sisterhood with West Bloomfield Girls Basketball, exploring art history connecting communities with the J of Metro Detroit and more, all on today’s episode of “The Splash Live!”

On today’s show, we celebrate Valentine’s Day by recognizing the love and friendship that has catapulted West Bloomfield High School girls varsity basketball to being the #1 ranked team in the state, and take a look back at the celebration of Paczki Day with the Polish Institute of Culture and Research and West Bloomfield Parks!

Art Historian Wendy Evans previews her upcoming art talks events at the Jewish Community Center of Metro Detroit, now known as “The J,” as well as how art, history and culture all connect to stories of our community’s past and present.

Additionally, Aspire Pilates Owner & Instruct Amy Pronovost talks about her local studio, located in Keego Harbor, how working out in a group can help you build a consistent fitness regimen, as well as her special connection to the “heart of the lakes.”

Plus, we hear from Mark Mulder from the Zekelman Holocaust Center about their massive exhibit renovations and how they are taking a new approach to telling the stories of the survivors of one of the world’s most harrowing atrocities.
